Mr. Arute has trained and taught in the Martial Arts for over 30 years, achieving proficiency in Krav Maga, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, Kenpo and weaponry. With the passionate belief that all individuals need the ability to defend their safety and freedom, Mr. Arute’s vision was to provide a family-friendly environment where people of all ages, sizes, and abilities could gain the necessary physical and mental skills to overcome dangerous situations. With this mission in mind, Mr. Arute opened the doors to his Cheshire, Connecticut Martial Arts studio in 2008. In 2012, Mr. Arute’s unique school was invited to act as the Northeast Regional Training Center of Alpha Krav Maga. Alpha Krav Maga was founded by internationally recognized Instructor Sam Sade; His team of coaches and training centers include the most talented and influential instructors and studio owners in the world. Mr. Arute has the honor of training students, instructors and schools internationally for Alpha Krav Maga.

Mr. Arute provides training for children and adults, as well as civilians and law enforcement personnel in Krav Maga. Children’s classes are limited in size, so that individual attention can be provided and instructors can work with each child on their personal goals. Children learn how to avoid and defuse dangerous situations, while gaining confidence and mental agility. Adult classes focus on preparation for potential danger, and offer real-life skills that can save lives and empower individuals to protect themselves and their families.

Mr. Arute also designs and teaches personal self-protection seminars for companies, universities, and law enforcement organizations. Among his clients are the State of Connecticut, Webster Bank; Meriden, Waterbury and New Haven Police Departments; and the University of Connecticut. His seminars include Weapon Retention, Force on Force, Sexual Assault Prevention, Home Invasion, Carjacking, Kid Safe Anti-Abduction Program, and Child Protection and Safety.

Mr. Arute has received recognition and awards for the outstanding accomplishments of his studio. As a full-time Martial Arts professional and a leading voice in the region for self-protection, he has been featured in the New York Times, Cheshire Herald, and other publications. Mr. Arute is the owner of Alpha Krav Maga Northeast Regional Training Center and continues to passionately bring his knowledge and expertise to students, instructors and Martial Arts schools around the world.

Anthony began training in martial arts in the early nineties at a local TKD school to learn the practical side of self defense. By the time Anthony had spent years on forms, katas, and kickboxing, the traditional side of the adult martial arts program began to be replaced with something entirely new Krav Maga. Anthony was quickly hooked and began training Krav Maga in 2000. During the next several months he began a serious regimen to prepare himself for Instructor Phase Training.

In 2002, Anthony completed two phases of instructor training to become one of only three certified instructors for Krav Maga in Connecticut. He continued gaining knowledge and experience through intensive seminars and workshops. Anthony has trained with and continues to train with highly regarded instructors including Sam Sade, Darren Levine, John Whitman, and Ernie Kirk.

In the summer of 2008 Anthony was happy to be introduced to Mr. Jamie Arute and continues his training and teaching at Mr. Arute’s studio.
